About Model Context Protocol
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to external systems without custom integration code. An MCP server exposes access to a database, API, file system, or specialized data source. An MCP client — a chat interface, IDE, or agent — connects to those servers and gives the AI the ability to read and write to real systems during a conversation. Together, servers and clients form an ecosystem where any capable AI can reach any service that has published an MCP server. The directory includes official servers from major platforms (GitHub, Notion, Figma, Slack) as well as community-built servers and the leading MCP-capable clients.
